Navimow H2 Won't Start Mowing: Seven Things to Check

Navimow H2 will not start mowing? Check firmware, battery, map, initialization, night mowing, mower location, and connected channels.

Reviewed October 13, 2026 by RobotMower.help. Independent guidance checked against the official Navimow source linked below.

Quick answer

Read the notification in the Navimow app first. The H2 may be below 20% battery, have no map, still be initializing, have night mowing disabled, be outside the station or mowing area, or be in an area not connected by a channel.

What this problem means

A mower that will not begin a task is different from one that starts and later stops. The H2 checks several prerequisites before allowing the task to begin, and the app notification may identify the blocked prerequisite directly.

Fix it in the safest order

  1. Update the H2 firmware if an update is pending.
  2. Open the app notification or device-status area and read the stated reason.
  3. Charge the battery above 20 percent.
  4. Confirm a valid map is saved and the mower has finished initializing.
  5. If it is dark, check whether night mowing is permitted for the task.
  6. Place the H2 on its charging station or inside the intended mowing area.
  7. Confirm the selected area is connected to the rest of the map by a usable channel.

Checks that prevent a repeat problem

  • Do not confuse failure to start with a mower that stops during operation.
  • Check the app before resetting because it may name the exact prerequisite.
  • If a channel is missing, correct the map instead of repeatedly pressing start.
  • Supervise the first task after changing the map or start conditions.

How to verify the fix

The H2 should accept the mowing command, leave the station or begin inside the selected area, and continue without immediately returning to the same blocked status.

Frequently asked questions

Will a Navimow H2 mow below 20 percent battery?

Low battery under 20 percent is one official reason an H2 may not start mowing.

Why will the H2 not mow at night?

Night mowing may not be enabled. Check the app and use the feature only where safe and permitted.

Can a missing channel stop a task from starting?

Yes. If the current area is not connected to other areas by a channel, the H2 may be unable to start that task.
