The mower cannot connect to the GNSS antenna required for mapping and navigation.
Reviewed October 4, 2026 by RobotMower.help. Independent guidance checked against the official manufacturer documentation.
Check that the GNSS antenna is properly connected to the charging station, then press STOP to clear the error.
If error 5101 returns after one controlled retry, stop repeating resets and record the mower serial number, firmware version, location, time, and a video of the behavior.

| Code | 5101 |
|---|---|
| Official meaning | Unable to Connect GNSS Antenna |
| Likely area | a loose antenna connection, charging-station connection issue, damaged cable, or antenna communication fault |
| First action | Check that the GNSS antenna is properly connected to the charging station, then press STOP to clear the error. |
The mower cannot connect to the GNSS antenna required for mapping and navigation. The code identifies the system reporting a problem, but it does not automatically prove that a specific part has failed.
For code 5101, focus first on a loose antenna connection, charging-station connection issue, damaged cable, or antenna communication fault. Use reversible external checks before changing maps, moving equipment, or requesting service.
A single occurrence can follow a temporary interruption or difficult operating condition. Complete the official steps and supervise one short task.
Inspect that exact spot for terrain problems, obstacles, poor clearance, satellite obstruction, or restrictive map geometry. A location-specific pattern is valuable diagnostic evidence.
An immediate or yard-wide recurrence is less likely to be one isolated terrain problem. Record the serial number, firmware and app versions, date and time, and a clear video before contacting support.
Turn the mower off before checking wheels, blades, the underside, sensors, cables, or charging contacts. Do not open the battery pack or sealed electronics. Do not repeatedly factory-reset, remap, force moving parts, or improvise electrical tests unless official support specifically instructs you to do so.
The mower cannot connect to the GNSS antenna required for mapping and navigation.
Check that the GNSS antenna is properly connected to the charging station, then press STOP to clear the error.
Only after the code clears and the mower completes a short supervised test without abnormal movement, charging, positioning, or safety behavior.
Contact support when the code returns after the official first steps, appears immediately after restart, or the mower cannot operate safely.
If you started with the mower behavior rather than the code, use our guide to Navimow i2 AWD positioning errors. It compares this alert with similar i2 AWD faults.
